The Corporation of Glasgow has purchased the city tramways. Mr Munro, late Commissioner of Police, has gone as a missionary to Bengal. The Special Commissioner of the Board of Trade acquits Mr Bottomley, secretary to the Hansard 0 nion Publishing Company. He reports that the Austrian business is sound, and if Mr Bottomley consents to co-operate the Hansard Union will recover its losses to a large extent. Sir E. C. A conspiracy against the King of Greece has been discovered. M. Tricoupis, the ex-Premier, is said to be implicated. In the Chamber of Deputies, M. Laur accused M. Rouvier, Minister of Finances, of delivering the finances of the country into the hands of Jews, and demanded the expulsion of the Roihscbilds and others. M.
