Master Agnes' tabulated pedigree reads as under : His sire, Cissi vellaunus (wha is mow dead), only raced twice in England, and that was as a two year old when he wan both stakes he started for at Newmarket. la addititn to Master Agnes, he has sired in this e*lony Enviot.9, Jealousy, Billy, Mess Rote, Puritan and other good raeers. Cassivellauans' sire Caraetaous won the Derby at Epsom in 1863, and his dam Campanile, is a daughter of the emperor of stallienß, Stoekwell. Fair Agnes, the dam of Master Agnes, is a daughter of the imported hay Middletan horse St Aubyn, and is out of Phoebe, the maternal ancestress of so many good horses intruding Pinfire's d-m, Queen of the South, ParaWhenua's dam, Countess, Mais s dam, Ranpo; Wolverine's dam, Tangi, aud Sinking Fnnd who ran a dead heat with Mat* for the Dunedin Cup of 1879. Phoebe was a daughter of the King of Australian sires. Sir Hercules. Fair Agnes in addition to Mister Agnes, has thrown another good hurdle racer in Magnesia and a fairish sprinter ia St Agnes, Rose A'Bonheur and her sons, Maroro, Chokebore,and Ba.lsworth, were all above the average on the Turf. As a two year eld M»ster Agnes won the Spring Nursery Handicap at the O.J.C. Metropolitan Meeting and ha followed this j up by getting home in front of a field of five I in the Two year old Handicap, but was disqualified en the graund of a cross. At the C.J.C.
