Cassivellauans' sire Caraetacus won the Derby at Epsom in 1863, and his darn Campanile, is a daughter of the emperer of stallions, Stoekwell. Fair Agnes, the dam ef Master Agnes, is a daughter of the imported bay Middletea hers>> St Aubyn, and is out of Phcebe, the maternal ancestress of so many good horees including Pinfire's A m, Queen of the South, ParaWhenua's dam, Countess, Mat* s dam, Raupo; "Wolverine's dam, Ta»gi, and Sinking Fnnd who ran a dead heat with Mat* for the Dunedin Cupnf 187 i). Phoobe was a daughter of the King of Australian sires, Sir Hercules. Frtir Agni-s in addition to Mister Agnes, has thrown another good hurdle racer in ftlagnenia and a fairish sprinter in St Agnes, Rose A'Bonheur and her sons. Mnroro, Chokebore, and Ba.lsworth, were all above the average on the Turf. As a two year eld Muster Agnes won the Spring Nursery Handicap at the C.J.C. Metropolitan Meeting ami he followed this up by getting home in front of a field of tye in the Two year old Handicap, but was disqualified on the ground of a cross. At the O.J.C.
