Soolal Gathering.

A highly successful sooial gathering in connection with the Phoenix Lodge of Good Templara wbb held in the Temperance Hall last (Wednesday) evening. Despite the inclement nature of the weather fully two hundred persons were present, and n most enjoyable time was spent. After a sump* tuous repast, provided by the Sisters of (he Lodge, had been partakeu of, the company went into harmony, when the following programme was Bubmitted duet, Misses Daniell ai»d Petersen (juveniles) } song, •» Mother's Grave," Caleb Ewington} vocal duet, Misses song, '•J'll take you honje again, Kathleen," Frank Worsfold j song, '< Won't you' buy my pretty flowers," Mi§i Jessie . Finlayson (juvenile); song and address, Capt. Rattray, of the Salvation Army; vooal duet, Misses Barrow ; song (comic), Bro Cole; recitation, " The Lighthouse," Miss Warner (juvenile); piano solo, Miss Whiflxjuvenile) 5 song, " dtick to your Mother, Tom," Bro Edward Braggins; piano solo, Miss N. York. The piano accompaniments were played in first-class style by the Misses Pearson and York. A number of the items on the programme were loudly encored, the contributions of the juveniles being particularly we|t received.
