Phcebe was a daughter of the King of Australian sires, Sir Hercule*. Fair Agnes in addition to Muster Agnes, has thrown another good hurdle racer in Slagnesia and a fairish sprinter in St Agnes, Rose A'Boiiheur and her sons, Maroro, Chokebore, and Badsworth, were all above the aye rage on the Turf, As a two year tld Master Agnes won the Spring Nursery Handicap at the C.J.O. Metropolitan Meeting ana he followed this up by getting home in front of a field of Ire in the Two year old Handie&p, bat was disqualified on the ground of a cross. At the C.J.C. Grace was only exhibited once when she gained first as a two year old. Jenney Masher's grand dam was only exhibited three times, gaining three first and two special prizes. Lord Nelson was wellknown to breeders in the Wairarapa, and gained many honours, in the show riu§, not only here, bi\t in the South Island. The Masher gained first prize in Masterton in 1885 also Mr J.av,'rpnce's special of £■'> for the best foal by Lord Kclaon, au-1 in IBBh he gained first at f.'-artertoH. It is needless to aiy any mpre as the above named hor«es were no well and favorably known in the Wairarapa, is in itself a sufficient guarantee to breeders. The Masher will travel to Greytown on Tuesdays and Masterton on Thursdays, and the rest of the week at his owner's stables, Park Road, Carterton.
