Penalties to be unulative. Hack and Hurdle races excepted. RULES and REGULATIONS— All races to be run under the rules of cing. In case of ft protest the same must be dged with the Secretary within 15 mines after the race has been run, with a ;posit of £'2, such deposit to be forfeited if le protest be found to be frivolous or vexaons. No scratching of horses allowed, unless irough the Secretary, and 30 minutes bere the time of starting. No entry will be received for any race cept under the conditions that all claims, sputes, and objections arising shall be icided by the Stewards, or whom they may ipoint, and their decision upon all points all be final. All Nominations, Entrances, Acceptances, !., accompanied by the necessary amount, ast be addressed to the Secretary, Mas. rton. No entry will be received after the hour raed on any pretence whatever. Any Jockey riding, except in colours, will be fined 2 sovs. The amount for second horse will be deducted from the advertised amount of stakes. The winner of Selling Hack Race to be sold immediately after the race for 20 sovs, any surplus to be divided between the Club and the second horse. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. A Hack shall mean a horse that has never, during this racing season, started for or entered for, wei;iht-for-age, or handicap at time of starting, and has not been nominated for Derbies, Champagnes, or Guineas, to be run for this racing season, Hack Races excepted.
