EKETAHUNA ATHLETIC CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Eketabun Athle ic Club, which' \?as adjournf from the previous Wednesday aft -noon, was held in Mr Andersoi Hall on the 28th inst, Mr F. V: Redin (President) in the chair. ■£he arinutesof t*ie previous meeting were read and confirmed. Tr balance sbeet, which was presented a the previous meeting, showed balance in hand in the Bank o Australasia of £9 3a. The election of officers was thi proceeded with, with the folkrwin; result :—President, Mr Von Redh (re-elected) ; Vice - Presidents, Dr McLennan (re-elected) and Thomai Parsons ; Treasurer, Mr Selby (re elected); Secretary, Mr I>. Roberts ; Committee, Messrs F. Bright, F. D. .Pelling, J. Jones, IX E. Toohill, Alf Foden, Elliston, Anderson, and A.H. Herbert.

Mr Hodges moved " that the Committee be not added to." Or McLennan seconded.

Mr Bright moved as an amendment " that the Committee be added to if found necessary." Seconded by Mr Tooliill, and carried.

The following new members were elected .-—Messrs Rowse, Anderson, Foden, White, Huberts, Henderson, Herbert, A. Ure, Power, Skinner, Roche, Mangnuson, Mees, Aulin, M. Neilson, Cavanagb, McLaren and Owlson.

After the close of the meeting, the Committee met, and appointed a sub' committee.

Mr Selby informed the members that he had inspected Jens Neilsen's ground, and found it to be the best and most suitable. Mr Neilson had offered the use of the ground free. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr Neilson for his kind offer.

Messrs Toohill, Hodges, Telling and Dr McLennan were appointed to inspect the land.

The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr Pearson, bandmaster of the Masterton Brass Band, for their terms for playing at the sports on New Year's Dav.

It was resolved to advertise in the three daily papers, viz., Daily, Mail, and Examiner.
