" Art is the Right Haml of Nature." Embodying Taste, Knowledge, and Experience, OKTEAITURE is its most popular form, l'he pleasurable resolve to have a likeness taken, frequently means a haphazard rush to any Photographer to the first, in fact, who comes. Di - SHtisfaction follows. Good results can be ensured only by selecting a qualified man— an expert who has made liis profession a definite study. One of the Few in .New Zealand who is a thoroughly TRAINED rHOTO(JRAI'HEB is Me K. HERRMANN, Of Cuba Street, Wellington, he having graduated in photography at the Polytechnic Institute of Brunswick, Germany. His acknowledged skilt. is thus the result of five years special study and twenty years practical experience. Mr Herrmann has therefore Ions? passed the experimental stage, and so uniformly regular is his work that he can confidently GUARANTEE A LIKENESS both lifelike and artistically perfect The increasing patronage of the Cuba Street Gallery, where not only is the cost the LOWFST, but where the work is best, i 3 sufficient endorsement. —Schiller, PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOW A FINE ART,

INSPECTION INVITED, AT THE SEW ZEALANDCLOTHIKG factory, Lambton Quay & Cuba St., "Wellington. THE ZEALANDIA WOOL PR acstands to-day without a rival» knowledge*! by all the Best "Wool Press in existence. See what Practical Woo'. Growers say about it: Ofaki, 11th July, 1891. MhJas. Mrnt, Masterton. Deap. Sib -It gives me great pleasure in having to inform vou that the Zealandia Wool Press that I got from you has given every satisfaction, and that for efficiency, durability and simplicity it is impossible to b« beaten. As a test, the first few bales pressed were made extra heavy, one of Merino wether fleece making oTOlbs, and another of locks 7501b5. I consider that it would be possible to keep forty shearers going easily with two men to work one of he Zealandia Wool Presses.—Yours truly, •lohn Cameron". (per D. Cameron, Manager, Pahau.) T*ble Lakiks, July 7th, 1801. Mr. J as. Mem. Masterton. l iar. Sir—ln answer to your enquiry in reference to the working of the Zealandia Wool Press, 1 can strongly recommend it to anyone requiring a really good Press. It is easily woikcd, very speedy, and at the same time simply constructed, and therefore lees likely to get out of gear. My first test as to the strength of pressure the turning out of a bait of greasy wool of overoewt, which satisfied me as to the subsequent working. We turned out over 300 bales good weight this season, without a break olany kind. Two good men could keep a very large shed free from wool. \\ e had ten good shearers at work, but I am convinced that over twice that number could be kept olear by one of these Presses m good hands.—Faithfuly yours. Mr Herrmann's latest improvement is the introducton of his NEW INSTANTANEOUS PROCESS whereby stiffness of posture is impos - sible, aa the sitter is not rendered both nervous and uncomfortable by mechanical supports for the head, so commonly used by incompetent operators. Clear outlines are ensured and a most pleasing picture follows. This process is wonderfully successful WITH CHILDREN. A BEAUTIFUL FINISH is hlbo imparted by the uiatt-opal style of photography. In this department, Mr Herrmann excels, and he is the only photographer in Wellington who can assure that remarkable softness and beauty of finish v»hich is essential to true photography on opal. " WAIRARAPA PEOPLE should make a point of visiting Mr Herrmann's Cuba Street Studio (opposite Te Aro House) when in Wellington. They WILL NOT ONLY GUT EMINENTLY .SATISFACTORY PHOTOGRAPHS, BUT THEY WILL SAVE MONEY WHILE DOING SO. Educational DeposUorv ivlasterton.
