DEATH OF ft MAORI CHIEF.

[By Telegraph.] • Oar Own Correspondent.) Greyiown, Satarday. Wi Kikawera Mahupuku, the well known Maori Chief, died at bis residence, Greytown, last evening. In consequence of his death, at the request of the natives, in respect to his memory, the Land Court, which is now sitting at Greytown, has been adjourned till after his funeral. Large numbers of Natives from all parts are already gathering together, and a big tangi will be held. The accused is to be buried at Waikoko,- commonly known as Lougbush, near Gladstone.
