Loves and loms Stock Sale Report
Messrs Lowes and lorns report a large attendance of buyers at their fortnightly stock sale yesterday, with spirited bidding. Cattle sold j»s follows :—Two and a half j ear old steers, 638 6d to 75s ; eighteen months to two year olds, 51s to 555; yearling steers 89s ; heifers, eighteen months and two year olds, 35s to 50s ; 2£ year olds. 55s to 64s ; fat cows, £4 2s 6d for light weights to £5 lis 6d ; dairy cows, 75s to 90a; cows near calving, 80s to 955. Pigs : Weaners, 6s 3d to 10s j slips, 16s. Horses were ut complete drag. In sheep fat shorn wethers brought lis 6d; fat wethers in the wool 17a, ewes and lambs 13s 9d, ewes in lamb 143 9d.
