During her long stay in this colony ( over 30 years) Sister Mary Joseph has devoted herself to the discovery and utilisation of the medii cinal virtues with whioh our New Zealand flora is so lavishly endowed. The result of her researches have been so successful that hundreds of families in Hawke's Bay have had reason to bless Sister Mary Joseph's long stay in this province. Her remedies ultimately achieved a more than local fame, not only in this colony, but also in Australia and at last the demand for them so increased that it became necessary for a business firm to take the matter of distribution in hand, Messrs Kempthorne and Prosser are therefore now the agents for the sa'e of these remedies, which will be found advertised in another eolumn."

I Taradale, September 8,1891. To Sister Mary Joseph Aubert,—A number of years I was afflicted with very bad headache and tried several medicines without effect, when I was advised to go to Sister Mary Joseph,who was then a resident at the Meanee Mission, but not having much faith in family doctors it was some time before I went to her. When I did go and explained how I felt she said she would make me well in a few days; and with the medicine I got and took, her words came true, and I was all right. Afterwards she cured my daughter of a very dangerous complaint after two or three doctors had failed. Sister Mary Joseph has been a sad loss to this place, to both Natives and Europeans, Henderson Gordon. Taradale, September 9, 1891. Dear Sir,—ln ISBI I was seized with cramps. I was advised to go and see you, and the medicine you gave me cured me effectually. For two years previous I got them regularly, and thanks to you they have left me altogether, lam as strong again as ever I was. William Coxwat. Bootmaker. ■. Taradale, September, 1890. I, the: undersigned, met with a very serious accident some years ago which rendered me completely helpless'for three months. Sister Mary Joseph attended me during my illness, and I was perfectly restored to good health under her treatment. Sister Mary Joseph is at liberty to publish this if needful.
