Master Agnes' tabulated pedigree reads as under : His sire, Cassivellannus (who is now dead), only raeed twice in England, and that was a two year old when he won both stake* he started for at Newmarket. In addition t» Master Agnes, he has aired in this colony Envious, Jealousy, Billy, Moss Rose, Puritan and other good raoers. CassiveUanaus' sire Caraetaeus won the Derby at Epson in 1862, and his dam Campanile, is a daughter of the emperor of stalliens, Stocfcwell. Fair Agnes, the dam of Master Agnes, is a daughter of the imported bay Middleten horse St Aubyn, and is out of Phoebe, the maternal ancestress of so many good horses inolnding Pinflre's dsm, Queen of the South, ParaWhenua's dam, Countess, Maea's dam, Raupo; Wolverine's d>m, Tangi, and Sinking Fund who ran a dead heat with Mata for the Dunedin Cup of 187!). Phoobe was a daughter of the King of Australian sires, Sir Heroulee. Fair Agnes in addition to Master Agnes, has thrown another good hurdle racer In Magnesia and a fairish sprinter in St Agnes, Rose A'Bouheur and her sons. Maroro, Chokebore, and Badsworth, were all above the average on the Turf.
As a two year eld Master Agnes wo» the Spring Nursery Handicap at the C.J.C. Metropolitan Meeting and ha followed thin up by getting home in front ef a field of five in the Two year old Handieap, but was disqualified on the ground of a eroes. At the C.J.C. ■ Autumn Meeting he ran third to Water Nymph and Sir Belvidere in the Champagno Stakes. TFRMS-Smgle Mares, £5 ss. Groomage Fee, ss. Two or moie Mares as per agreement.
