Since then quite a craze has set in in England for really fino tea, and low grade qualities are at a discount. In this colony rerlly fine tea was for many years a luxury. The Union Packing Company by introducing their delicious blend, known as Bed Funnel Tea, have earned a great name everywhere. Mr Figp, of Colombo, is now, w« understand, completing arrangements with the Cempany to supply them regularly with his choice hill-grown Jeylon tea. which is admttted by experts to be equnl to any tea in the world. The Bed Funnel Tea is a blend which can be strongly recommended. —Extract from Contemporary.

The particular work to be under* taken is widening the road leading from the entrance to the Railway Station Reserve at Eketahuna to the junction with the Main Road through the Township. The amount to be borrowed is £ 100. The amount to be set apart in each year towards paying off the loan is £5. To meet interest and annual charges on the loan a special rate of 2 3-sthsof a prnny will be struck ou the rateable vnlue for the time being of subsections 2?, 24, 25,20, 27, 28, 29 of Sections 18, Block VI.. Mangaone, and that .portion of said section 12, containing 3a lr 6p, being assessment w 90/BGO on the Valuation Roll m force at this date.
