Master Agnes' tabulated pedigree reads as under : His sire, C.issivellaunus (who is now dead), only raced twice in England, and that was a two year old when bo won both stakes he started for at Newmarket. In addition to Master Agnes, he has sired in this colony Envious, Jealously, Billy, Moss Rose, Furitan j and other good racers. Cassivellnunus' sire Caractacus won the Derby at Epsom in 1862, •nd his dam Campanile, is a daughter of the emperor of stallions, Stockwcll. I Fair Agues, the dam of Master Agnes, is a daughter of the imported hay Middleton horse St Aubyn, and is out of Phtebe, the maternal ancestress of so many good horses including ■ > uciiua's dam, Countess, Maca's dam, Raupo; Wolverine's dam, Tangi, aud Sinking Fund who ran a dead heat with Mato for the Duncdin Cup of 187 i». Phoebe was a daughter of the King of Australian sires, Sir Hercules. I Fair Agnes in addition to Muster Agnes, has thrown another good hurdle racer in Magnesia . and a faii-iah sprinter in St Agnes, Rose A'Bonheur and her sons. Muroro, Chokebore, and Badsworth, were all abovo the average on the Turf.
As a two year old Master Agnes won the Spring Nursery Handicap at the C.J.C. Metropolitan Meeting and he followed this up by getting home in front of a field of fire in the Two year old Handic.ii>, but was disqualified on the ground of a crous. At the U.J.C. Autumn Meeting he ran third to Water Nymph and Sir JJelvidere in the Champagne Stakes. TFRMS-Single Mares, £5 ss. Groomagc Fee, ss. Two or moie Mares as per agreement.
