HENDERSON & Co,, [Limited.] sawmillers, MASTERTON. rHIS COMPANY, which has been fcrmed for the purpuse of taking oyer and working the extensiro Sawmilling Business of Messrs HENDERSON &SHUTE, a:;d is now registered under the "Limited Liability Companies Act," commenced operations on the Ist September.
The Company has the rights of cutting the splendid Totara Forest on the por> perty of Dk Hosking, at Weraiti, and close to the bush is erected a Mill, almost new, vith all the latest improvements in machinery, and m splendid working order. From itscbsu proximity to the bush, timber in any quantity can be supplied at the lowest possible cost. A tramway connects with tho Tc Oro Ore road. In addition to the timber, the Company has also the Bide right to tho limestone on the property, of which there is abundance, and of superior quality.
The Company has purchased the right to cut the whole of the bush on Mr A. Burnett's property, Fernndge, and a* Mill is beinsc worked there m connection with the business. J'he whole < f the Timber from both properties is delivered at (he Kuripuui Mill belonging to the Company, where Planing and Moulding Machines are erected, and this portion of the work is carried out
During the several years Messrs Henderson and Urate carried on the business they secured a first-class con' nection for supplying imber in Welling* ton and the S->uth Island. All this is also the Company's. Mr David Henderson's services a3 Managing Director are secured by the Corop-uiy, and several of the Directors have personally inspected thej working of the various mills, and they can confidently recommend the enterprise to tho favorable consideration of Investors. Among the many advantages of a business of this character is the fact that a large quantity of timber is sent out of the district monthly and about i'soo of this money is circulated in men's wages, aud the other expenses necessary for working tho business, thus causing all classes of the community to benefit thereby.
