IHIS COMPANY, which has been . formed for the purpose of taking oyer and working the extenaire Sawmilling Business of Messrs HENDERSON &SELUTE, ar.d is now registered under the " Limited Liability Companies Act," commenced operations on the Ist September.
The Company has the rights of cutting the splendid Totara Forest on the porperty of Dr Hoskino, at Weraiti, and close to the bush is erected a Mill, almost new, vith all the latest improvements in machinery, and in splendid working order. From it« cl >su proximity to the bush, timber in any quantity can be supplied at the lowest possible cost. A tramway connects with the Te Ore Ore road. In addi on to the timber, the Company has aho the sole right to the limestone on the property, of whioh thero is abundance, and of superior quality. The Company has purchased the right to cut the wholo of the bush on Mr A. Burnett's property, Fcrnndge, and a Mill is being worked thero in connection with the business. The whole of the Timber from both properties is delivered at the Kuripuni Mill belonging to the Company, where Planing and Moulding Machines are erected, and this portion of the work is carried out. During the ssrcal yeats Messrs Henderson and Shute carried on the business they secured a first-class connection for supplying inber in Welling* ton and the S >uth Island. All this is also the Company'*. Mr David Henderson's services as Managing Director are secured by the Corapuiy, and several of the Directors have pcrFonally inspected the working of tho various mills, anri they can confidently recommend the enterprise to the favorable consideration of Investors, Among the many advantages of a business of this character is the fact that a large quantity of timber is sent out of the district monthly and about i'soo of this money is circulated in men's wages, and the other exnenses necessary for workinu tho business, thus causing a]l classes of tho community to benefit thereby.
