WESLEYAN CHURCH
Fiji anl Fijians-
The Wesleyan Church was crowded to excess last night to hear the Bev. S. J. Gibson give his lecture on Fiji and Fijians. tor nearly two hours the rev. gentleman delighted his audience while he described this most successful field of missionary labour. The physical features of the Islands, the climate, the language, the food, the manners and customs of lue people were each described, and the lecturer was very successful in presenting a series of beautiful views. It is usual for Mrs Gibson to accompany the missionary, and, attired as Fijian bride and bridegroom, they give a representation of an Island wedding, | but this had to be dispensed with owing to the absence of Mrs Gibson. It is, however, probable that such an [entertainment will be given in Masj terton about the middlo of November.
