THIS COMPANY, which has been formed for the purpose of taking oyer and working the extensive Sawmilling Business of Messrs HENDERSON &SHUTE, ar.d is now registered under the " Limited Liability Companies Act," commenced operations on the Ist Sep* tember. The Company has the rights of cutting the splendid Totura Forest on the por« perty of Dr Hoskino, at Weraiti, and close to the bush is erected a Mill, almost new, vith all the latest improvements in machinery, and in splendid working order. From it* cl >so proximity to the bush, timber in auy quantity can be supplied at the lowest possible cost. A tramway connects with the Te Ore Ore road. In addition to the timber, the Company has aleo the sole right to the limestone on the property, of which there is abundance, and of superior quality. The Company has purchased the right to cut the wholo of the bush on Mr A. Burnett's propeity, Fernndge, and a Mill is being worked tbere in connection with the business. The whole of the Timber from both properties is delivered at the Kuripuni Mill belonging to the Company, where PjUning and Mourning Machines are ercct'coY and this portion of the work is carried out. During the several yeais Messrs Henderson and Shuto carried on the business they secured a first-class connection for supplying timber in ion and the South Island. All this is also the Company'!, Mr David Henderson's services as Managing Director are secured by the Company, and several of the Directors have personally inspected the working of the various mills, anH they can confidently recommend the enterprise to the favorable consideration of Investors. Among the many adj vantages of a business of this character is the fact that a large quantity of timberj is sent out of the district monthly and about J6500 of this money is circulate*: in men's wages, and the other expensei necessary for working the business, thuf causing all classes of the community tc benefit thereby.
