CHIS COMPANY, which has been formed for the purpose of taking oyer and working the extensive Sawmilling Business of Messrs HENDERSON &SHUTE, »ud is now registered under the " Limited Liability Companies Act," commenced operations on the Ist Sep* tember. The Company has the rights of rutting the splendid Totara Forest on the porperty of Dr Hosking, at Weraiti, and close to the bush is erected a Mill, almost new, vith all the latest improvements in machinery, and In splendid working order. From it* cbse proximity to the bush, timber in any quantity can be supplied at the lowest possible cost. A tramway connects with the Te Ore Ore road. In addition to tho timber, the Company has alto the sole right to the limestone on the property, of which there is abundance, and of superior quality. The Company has purchased the right to cut the whole of the bush on Mr A. Bornbtt's property, Fernridge, and a Mill is being worked there in connection with the business. The whole of the Timber from both properties is delivered at (he Kuripuni Mill belonging to the Company, where Planing and Moulding Machines are erected, and this portion of the work is carried out. During the several yeats Messrs Henderson and Shute carried on the business they secured a first-class connection for supplying timber in Wellington and the S->uth Island. All this is •ho the Company's, Mr David Henderson's services as Managing Director are secured by the Com piny, and several of the Directors have personally inspected the working of the various mills, and they can confidently recommend the enterprise to the favorable consideration of Investors. Among the many advantages of a business of this character is the fact that a large quantity of timber is sent out of the district monthly and about 4*300 of this money is circulated in men's wages, and the other expenses necessary for working the business, thus causing all classes of the community to benefit thereby.
