Wellington, Monday.
During last week ninety-one men, principally bushfaliers from the Soutb, have obtained employment through the Government Bureau. Fifteen were also sent by the Salvation Army. Flmotaffofaßoly. Inveroarcill, Monday. During the sealing trip at the Auckland Islands, Mr Mellish, headsman of the Gratitude's party, found the headless body of a man, ■ fully dressed, and in a good state of preservation, lying on its back, on the sandy shore of north harbour. Mr Mellish is almost certain he has seen tho man's boots and jacket before, and believes the body to be that of Captain Eckhoff, who was one of the party on board the Eakanui when Bhe was lost in the gale in January last.
