THIS COMPANY, which has been fcrtned for the purpose of taking oyer and working the extensive Sawmilling Business of Messrs HENDERSON &SHUTE, and is now registered under the " Limited Liability Companies Act," commenced operations on the Ist Sep* tember. The Company has the rights of cutting the splendid Totaia Forest on the porperty of Dr Hobking, at Weraiti, and close to the bush is erected a Mill, almost new, T'ith all the latest improvements in machinery, and in splendid working order. From it* cbse proximity to the bush, timber in any quantity can be aup» plied at the lowest possible cost. A tramway connects with the Te Ore Ore road. In addition to the timber, the Company has alto the sole right to the limestone on the property, of which there is abundance, and of superior quality. The Company hrs purchased the right to cut the whole of the bush on Mr A, Burnett's propeity, Fernridge, and a Mill is being worked there in connection with the business. The whole of the Timber from both properties is delivered at the Kuripuni Mill belonging to the Company, where Planing and Moulding Machines are erected, and this portion .of the work is carried out. During the several years Messrs Henderson and Shute carried on the business they secured a first-class connection for supplying timber in Wellington and the South Island. All this is also the Company'*. Mr David Henderson's services as Mansging Director are secured by the Corapiny, and several of the Directors hare personally inspected tbe working of tbe various mills, and they can confidently recommend the enterprise to the favorable consideration of Investors, Among the many advantages of a business of this character is the feet that a large quantity of timber is sent out of the district monthly and about £SOO of this money is circulated in men's and the otfiei expenses necessary fyr working the business, thus causing a)l olaases of the community to benefit thereby. THE MEET will take place at Pihautca at 2 o'clock p.in; the throw off half an hour later. The Fee for non-members following will be 5/-.
