Eleven hundied persons were temporarily taken into custody. Vienna, September 17. It is reported that the Emperor Francis Joseph, under Hungarian pressure, will propose that the Triple i Alliance should only operate in the i event of France attacking Italy or ! Germany, or Russian aggression towards Austria. St. Petersburg, September 17. It is alleged that in return for the Dardanelles concession the Czar has abandoned a large amount of the arrears of the Turkish indemnity. Berlin, September 17. The efforts to bring about a reconciliation between the Emperor and Prince Bismarck have up to the present been unsuccessful.
