L formed for the purpose of taking oyer and working the extensive SawmilHng Business of Messrs HENDERSON &SHUTE, a~d is now registered under the " Limited Liability Companies Act," commenced operations on the Ist September. Tbe Company has the rights of outting the splendid Totara Forest on the porperty of Dr Hoskino, at Weraiti, and close to the bush is erected a Mill, almost new, vith all the latest improvements in machinery, and in splendid working order. From it§ cbse proximity to the bush, timber in any quantity can be supplied at the lowest possible cost. A tramway connects with the Te Ore Ore road. In addition to the timber, tbe Company has also the sole right to the limestone on the property, of which there is abundance, and of superior quality. The Company haa purchased the right to cut the whole of the bush on Mb A. Burnett's property, Femndge, and a Mill is being worked there in connection with the business. The whole of the Timber from both properties is delivered at the Euripuni Mill belonging to the Company, where Planing and Moulding Machines are erected, and this portion of the work is carried out. During the several years Messrs Henderson and Shute carried on the business they secured a first-class connection for supplying timber in Wellington and the South Island. All this is also the Company'*. Mr David Henderson's services as Managing Director are secured by the Company, and Beveral of the Directors have personally inspected the working of tbe various mills, and they can confidently recommend the enterprise to the favorable consideration ©f Investors. Among the many advantages of a business of this character is the fact that a large quantity of timber is sent out of the district monthly and about £SOO of this money is circulated in men's wages, and the othei expenses necessary for working the business, thus causing all classes of the community to benefit thereby.
