Stocft Sale Report.
| Messrs Lowes and lorns report, a large attendance at their Stock Saloon Wednesday the 9th September, the stpek offering being quite inadequate to meet the demand. Sheep were in very small numbers and keenly competed tor by local butchers, the same applying to the beef cattle of all sorts which were well competed for and showed a decided rise in prices. Beet
—light weights £5 5a to £sl2s 6d, or fully 17s 6d the lOOlbs; heifers 70s ; Cows to 92s 6d ; store steers, from 55,3 to 75s ; Dairy Cow 3 for which the demand was unusually brisk brought from JO* to £.5 }ss; fat wethers uneven in quality medium weights 15s 6d and 15s 8d ; ewes, ditto 14a 6d i pigs, for which there is considerable enqury, were conspicuous by their absence ; horse sale nominal.,
