ROAD BOARD.
A meeting of the Castlepoint Boad Board was held on Saturday last. Present—Messrs Maunsell (chairman), Langdon, Nioholls, Sutherland, and Andrew.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Letters were read from Grown Lands Office, re accrued thirds. From Auditor-General, re vigilance of members in tHe matter of rites, etc, collected or outstanding. From Property Tax Commissioner, re subsidy due. From W. McKenzie, re payment for road.
From Commissioner Crown Lands, re address and name of Board, and name of Chairman.
From C. B. Morrison, re road through McKenzie'a land. It was resolved to call a meeting of ratepayers to discuss the question of striking an additional rate to assist the Council, and repair the metal over Elder's Hill.
The Treasurer reported a balance in Bank of £207 8s 4d.
Accounts amounting to .£l6 8s 8d were passed for payment.
