A meeting of the Worksjftknd Finance Committee of (he Masterton Borough Council was held last evening, there being present Crs Heron, Gapper, Mutrie and E. E. Chamberlain. The Overseer reported having made certain repairs and recommended that the bridge at the mill be redeoked or a new culvert put in. ft was resolved to request Mr, Renall to fill in from the mill lead to the west corner of the old mill lead within fourteen days; that tenders be called for a concrete culvert near the Boyal Hotel; that owners of property in the West Ward be notified that the# must eradicate the gorse from the(r properties; that the application of the Masterton Football Club for the use of metal be granted.
