A RABBIT CASE. In the R.M. Court this mornipg, evidence in mitigation of tfa#fine of £4 recently impos-d upon Mr H. R. Elder, of Whareama, for failing to destroy the rabbits on his property, was heard.
Mr Beard appeared for Mr Elder, and Mr Bunny opposed. H. R. Elder deposed that he bad done everything m his power to eradicate the pest, and considered ho h*d been fairly successful. Several other witnesses gave evidence, and the fine was reduced to £2, including coßtl. Mr Beard gave notice to thi question of the Mr Mackay. ~ o
