■SPairasaja gacinff ClubFeatherston, August 29. A meeting of the Wairarapa Racing Club was held at Featherston today, Mr. J. P. Russet), the President, in the chair, Over 30 members were present, The balance sheet showed a credit of about £260, and it was stated that over £7O had been spent in improving the course. The question of retaining or dispensing with the Greytown course is being discussed in committee, and the result is npt yet known.
TaratftJtt-OartartMl BMl&ff WA meeting of theTaratahi-Carterton Racing Club was held on Saturday night, when it was decided to hold the annual meeting on November 9th. Mr A. R. Macfarlane was appointed aaodicapper to the club. The follow* ing programme was arranged :—Hack Hurdle Race, of2osovs; Hack Maiden Plate, of 15 sovs; Open TaratahU Carterton Handicap, of 40 sovs; Clareville Hack Handicap, of 20 sovs; Railway Hack Handicap, of 15 soys; Open Flying Handicap, of 80.sovs; Consolation Hack Handicap of 10 sovs; Nominations' close on- October 19tb. ilt was decided that the admission t$ tbf course be free.
