WELLINGTON MEAT COMPANY.

Annul Xwtlnff. The annual meeting of the shareholders of the Wellington Meat Export Go. was held in the Chamber of Commerce yesterday afternoon. There were 52 shareholder! present, and Mr \V. C. Buchanan, M.H.B. (Chairman of Directors), presided. The annual report and balance sheet were taken as read. The Chairman, in moring the adoption of the report, referred at length to the work company during the year. see from the report that sheep, 14,047 lambs, and 6210 head of cattle were frozen during the year, and patting the whole of the weijbfc of the frozen meat together and in the form of sheep of GOlbs weight, it meant that the Company has frozen daring the year the cquiraleat of about a quarter of a million of aheep. During last year the Colony exported a million an a half Bbeep, 357,916 lambs, and 14,300 cattle, and that quantity put, as before, in the form of sheep weighing 601b each, qare, for the whole Colony, a grand total of 1,879,634 carcasses, Mr W. Booth seconded the motion for the adoption of the report and balance sheet, which was put and carried without any discussion. On the motion of Mr T. J. Dalrymple, seconded by Mr W. H. fieetham, Messrs W. C. Buchanan and W. Booth were re-elected Direc tors. Messrs T. D. Stewart and C. R*»> Powles were re-elected auditors at the same remuneration as before (JU2O.) Mr H. D. Bell mofred that the re> numeration of tLe Directors should be L 250, explaining that it mi necessary to pass such a resolution ai a matter tf form. Mr O. M. Kebbell seconded the motion, which was oairied.

On the motion of Mr J. Stuckey, WConded by Mr H. D. Bell, a rote of thanks was awarded to the Directors and officers of the Company. The Chairman returned thanks on behalf of the Directors, remarking that they would do all they could in the future to further the interests of the Company. . A vote of thanks to the Chairman brought the meeting to a close.
