In reply to your memo, of 27th inst, asking my opinion of the work done by your plough at the DIGGING PLOUGH TRIAL held here on Tuesday last, 1 must say 1 was agreeably surprised to see your " Converted Digger" do such splendid work, considering the dry state of the ground, and the tough cough grass it had to work in—the latter it buried completely out of sight and left the furrows thoroughly broken up into a fine tilth., Tbere was no doubt in the mind of many of the farmers present that it did superior work to either of the other three diggers on the ground, and the draught did not appear to be any heavier on the horses.
