Freeman K. Jaokson A Co.'s Johnstonville stock report:—Fat oatllc below average number were generally of good quality, though differing eonsiderably in weight. The demand was medium at 16s per 1001b for ox beef, and 18s 6d for prime heifers respectively. Prices for the best sorts, £7 to 67 10s; others, £6 2s 6d to 46 10s; light weights, £6" to £Bl2s 6d; prime heifers, £5 to £5 2s 6d; lighter weights, £4 12s 6d. A full muster of sheep, wethers made 16s 4d, 16s 6d, 17s Bd, and 18s 6d respectively ac- [ cording to size, weight, quality, and condition, or equal to BJd per lb. Pigs in fair supply, mostly porkers and stores. Bates have not improved upon recent sales. The outlook for the sale of bacon pigs is not cheerful, as the trade is fully supplied with heavy imports of the cured material from the South, where this class if plentiful.
