LAND BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Land Board was held on Thursday. Present —Messrs.. J. H. Baker (Commissioner, in the Chair), W. W. McCardleand W. A. Fitzherbert. The following applications for titles were approved: —G. -Smith, section 48, block 7, Mangaone; E. Wildsley, section 8, block 2, Kopuranga; J. Miller and J. O'JNeill, section 26, blocks, Mangahao; T. EL Groves, sections 9 and 10, block 11, Mangaone; W. Preston, section 38, blook 9, Mangaone. The following applications ■ to transfer were allowed: Section 270, blook 7, Wainuioru, from J. Cooper to D. MoPhee; section 4, blook 5, Mangaone, B. H. Fogden to A. Fogden; part section 12, block 15, Mangaone, B, Z. Davis to T. J. Woolridge; section 40, block 9, Mangaone, J. Albnechtsen to J. H. Lowe; section 25, block 3, Mangahao, A. B. Bunny to J. Miller; section 71, block 6, Mangamhoe, A. Richmond to E. O. Knight; section 75, block 13, Mangaone, G. M. Wood to T. Hurley; Mr C. B. Morison, acting; for Mr S. G, Gross, . interviewed the Board relative to the letter's application to transfer section 66, block 9, Makuri, to Mr D. Milne. It was resolved to consider the matter immediately the improvements are effected. With reference to the sale ot part of section 19, block 15, Mangahao, it was decided that . Government be recommended to withdraw the land from sale with a view to offering it to Mr Moore by valuation under clause 95, Land Act 1885; section 125, block 1, Mangahio, J. B. Boss to Mr Mowbray (conditionally). The application (of Mr W. P. C. Caecia to be allowed to obtain the title to sections 90 to 65, bio ;ks 9 to 14, Makuri, was taken into consideration. The applicant haying made an application to the Board, it wis decided to grant the application conditionally. The Crown Lands Banger Mr W. Lindus, wrote stating that he was unable to find any instances of
subletting sections in the Feilding Bloak. It was resolved to approve of the words " tenants in common" being inserted in leases when more than one . person's name has to he inserted in -j_ the lease. It was decided not to*. consider the application of MtyA. R. •,.'.' Bunny, to state a case for the Supreme Court in connection with a case that had been before the Board on several occasions. With reference to the late sale of the Eaiwhata run. a letter "* .'" from the 'Surveyor-General was rekd£ ' asking that the balance of the runs be re-offered at a reduced price of Id per acre. . .
