Since then quite a craze has set in in England for really fine tea, and low grade qualities are at a discount. In this colony retJly fine tea was for many years a luxury. The Union Packing Company by introducing their delicious blend, known as Red Funnel Tea, have earned a great name everywhere. Mr Fig?, of Colombo, is now, w« understand, completing arrangements with the Cempany to supply them regularly with his choice hill-grown Ceylon tea, which is admitted by experts to be equal to any tea in the world. The Red Funnel Tea is a blend which can be strongly recommended. —Extract from Contemporary.

BKETAHUNA ROAD BOARD. iM intended at a meeting of the Eketahuna Road Board, to be held on SATURDAY, the loth day of August, 1891, to make the follewing Special order: — That for the purpose of securing payment of the sum of £IOO . granted to the Board under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the erection of a Suspension Bridge at Hawcra Road, a special rate of 10-16ths of a penny in the £ be made and levied on the rateable value of the following sections :—l, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. 20a, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27,28 Block II ; sections 6, 7 Block 111, all in the Mangaone Survey District, and section 20. Block XIV, Mangahao Survey District. Such special rate shall be an annually recurnnp rate, and will be paid in two half yearly instalments for twenty six years, on the firpt day of February and the first day of August in each year until the debt ia liquidated.
