KNIGHTS OF LABOR.

District ConferenceThe half-yearly Conference of delegates of the various assemblies of the Knights of Labor in the North Inland opens in Masterton this (Tuesday) eveniug. Altogether about a dozen delegates are present, the presiding officer being District Organiser Maokay, of Wellington. The business of the (i»lerence will be to alter the appeals, and settle disputes, with the various Assemblies. Resolutions will also be -iramed for presentation to Paaliament. To-mortow evening a public meeting will be held in the Theatre Royal, when addresses will be delivered by Messrs Hogg, Earnshaw, Mills, and Pinkerton, M.H.R.'s, and several dalegates to the Conference. After the public meeting a social tea will be held in the Temperance Hall.
