Six O'Clook Closing amongst the Bootmakers.
[TO THE EDITOE.I Bib,—lt is with regret that the above has again come to the top. Last winter the Early Closing Association were successful in getting the business places in Masterton to close at six o'clock, and to all appearance it. has worked well, I trust the publio will answer to the pall, <• Shop before Six." One can hardly blame the other bootmakers for opening, though perhaps they would not be the losers by treating the " Bird of Passage " with
contempt. I hope the old bootshops •will see the folly of keeping open after six o'clock. Let them show the people that their goods will stand the daylight, and they will ever have the support of a— Father Of Nine. Jnly T 2Bth, 1891.
