P H Wood reports of his Stock Sale held at the Taratahi yards yesterday as follows .—There was a large attendance of buyers. The stock yarded, however, was not numerous, although equal to that advertised. The demand evidently exceeded the supply, prices realised beiDg fully equal to last sale rates, and rule as follows : Sheep—Ewes in lamb, 6s 3d to lis *, 4d. A pen of 800 hoggets were passed in i but were subsequently sold at 10s 6d. Cattle—Calves, 18s; 2 year old heifers, 383; store cows, 60s ; dairy cows, 53s 6d to 60s.
