COUNTY ELECTION.
Return of Messrs von Reden an& Smith. The election of two members to represent the Eketahuna and Alfredton Ridings in the Wairarapa North County Council, which was necessitated by the division of the Alfredton Riding into two Ridings, took place on Tuesday last, and resulted in the return of Messrs von Reden and Smith. A good deal of interest was taken in the election, and the various candidates worked energetically in their respective interests. The following are the votes recorded : EKETAHUNA BIDING. Frederick von Reden 44 Alexander Anderson 26 ALFREDTON RIDING. Eli Smith 85 Lachlan Macquarie 26
