Akitlo Read Board.

A meeting of the Board was held at Aohanga on Thursday last. Present: Messrs Handyside (Chairman), Armstrong, aad Foreman. , The minutes ot the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read from Crown Lands re accrued tLirds and fourths; from Property Tax Department re subsidy due. The Treasurer reported a credit balance at Bank of £l3B 11 Id.

Tlie following tenders were received for sixty chains formation Aohanga Valley road:—John Hennessy, £258 10s ('accepted), John Anderson, £270. The question of striking the rate for the current year was discussed, and it was agreed to postpone the matter until next meeting ot the Board.

Accounts amounting to £7 19s were passed for payment, and next meeting was fixed for 18th August.
