TENDEUS. The following tenders wore accepted by the Works Committee of the Pahiatua County Council on Saturday : —Contract 150, 78 chains formation Tiraumea Valley Road—T. P. Girdwood, £2 2s Gd per chain, culverts 2s 6d and Bs. Seven tenders. Contract 152, 87 chains formation near Halliday's, Woodville-Tirauniea —E. McMahon, £3 17s per chain. Seven tenders. Contract 153, track clearing, formation and bridge, Mangahao—Walker, bridge, £23 10s, formation 18s Gd per chain, track clearing 7s 5d per chain, culverts 2s Gd. Seven tenders. Contract 154. 40 chains formation Upper Makuri—O'Brien, £1 12s Gd pgr chain. Two tenders. Contract 155, suspension bridge and cradle, Masterton-Mangahao—J. Dawson, £l2O, suspension, £59, cradle. Resolved that if the settlers will pay the difference between the two bridges (£G7), the Council will erect the suspension bridge.
