Plaintiff claimed £l4B, the value of Ine'v'esßel; cargo, and .., demurrage. t The jury, found that the. collision was the result of an 'inevitable accident, for which, neither vessel was to blame; and judgment was entered for the defendant, with : costs. Mr B C Haggitt, Crown Solicitor, gave it as his opinion to the Land Board to-day that they had no power to hold an enquiry in the terms of the Act into the case of a pastoral deferred payment licensee suspected of dummyism, whoso license was granted in 1880, and exchanged for a small grazing run in 1888, which lease was subsequently transferred by the Board from the lessee to a..pur* -ehaser.
