[Per Press Asßpoiation.] [By Telegraph ] . to the Premiir* Welunoton, Thursday. A depatation representing the West Coast Counties of the Sooth Island waited on the Premier relative to the break down of the County system for the want of funds,wbich was attributed to the abolition of the rating of Grown Lands and the gold duty. They asked to have the Act amended to enable them to tax vehicles whether,' plying for hire or not, also' for advance o against the revenue. The Premier asked for figures, eto, and promised to give the question full consideration. It came out during discussion that, whereas the cost of the worjiiagi& Westland and loangahua was 5 and 7 per cent of the revenue)! in Grey and Buller it was 17* nd 20' pej cent.
