Wellington, Tuesday. The Minister of Public Works has effected some alterations and amalgamations in the Defence Departx ment, Ancklaad, which will save - about -£B(KL per annum. He has - given orders for the, completion of -. the most urgent works on the forts, ;which will occupy three or four ■~, months. Government ContractsWellington, Tuesday.
