(By Telegraph). [Per Press Association.] * Th« Appeal Court- . Judgment in tHe 81-warla' OweWellinotqn, Wednesday. In the Appeal Court judgment .in Edwards' case is being delivered, Chief Justice'B judgment took an hour in delivery. He considered there wbb no authority in law for appointment, and it ought therefore to be cancelled. Other judges delivering; judgments, which ,18. proceeding. Justices Williams and, Denaiston have delivered their judgments, which are in favour of Judge Edwards. Later. After delivering his own judgment, the Chief Justice said that although he was in favour of the Crown, the majority of the Judges were in favour of the defendant. Judge Conolly's judgment was in 'fevorof the Crown, The judgment of the Court was entered up tor the defendant, with costs. The ques- j lion of appeal to the Friuy Council was mentioned bj Mr Gully, but was left over for the present, he undertaking to consult the legal advisers of the Crown on the subject.
