A nuniber of trotting joatobea took place oh the Masterton-Opajcrppurse yesterday (Monday);* under the auspices of. the Wairarapa Trpitinttj Club. <£he attendance ofthe. ppblio A was large, fully two hundrefl. tieing W present, and the various pvenfs Were well contested. Maipen Harness—JJalloon'a Dor* 1, Fraaer's Mystery. 8, Shaw's Red Load 3.. Only three started. Handicm-Saddlx—Mitchell's R u +. tic, 60 sees, 1, H. Nwa* filucbost, ■
50 sees, 2, Yates' Boeket, 10 sees, 3> There were seven starters, and it wa a splendid race, the finish being very exciting. Handicap Habness—Elley's Blossom, 60 sees, 1, Fraser's Mystery, 45 sets. 2, Henderson's Scrap in Canister, The disfcanco for each event was about two miles. No official time was taken.
