Firebell Signals.
[To the Editor.] Sir. —Now that the Borough of •Maßterton is divided into wards, I would like to muke a suggestion through your valuable paper, which, I think, if put into practice, would greatly assist the Fire Brigades in the event of lire, viz., that a code of iirebell signals be established and published in the local papers in a conspicuous place, for example, West Ward 1 stroke, East Ward 2 strokes, Outer Ward .8 strokes. This plan has been adopted iu several large towns, and ought to work torily in Masterton. I am, &0., Fireman,
