FOREiaH London, May 15. The outt ages on Jews at Corfu continue to be committed by the Gieek mob, who to-day killed two and injured many others. They also pillaged the houses, which were afterwards destroyed by (ire. Martial law has been proclaimed there.
It has been decided to petition against the return of Sir Jamos Bain, who was elected to the vacancy for Whitehayen in the House of Commons caused by the death of the Right Hon G. F. Cavendish-Bcntinck.
The Prince of Wales, who is prostrated by influenza, is progressing favorably. Gunn, Shrewsbury, and Attewell have declined to join the cricket team which Lord Sheffield is getting together to visit Australia. It is bulieved it will be difficult to over come their unwillingness. The draft agreement between England and Portugal with reference to South African territory has been signed, and has produced an excellent effect in Lisbon. Portugal receives a triangular territory 50,000 square miles in extent, bounded by the Pungwe and Zambesi rivers, and a line frcm the Maranda to the junction of the Shire and Ruo Rivers. England obtains a rectified frontier to Mamcaland and the right of passage over the Limpopo. The Victorian loan is quoted at £ per cent discount. It is expected that Messrs Dwyer Gray, Timothy Harrington, Nolan, and others will shortly desert Mr Parnell. Mr Gray, however, contradicts the report. Mr B. The mob invaded the Jewish quarters in Corfu, disatming the troops and murdering seventeen Jews, The troops at Corfu were compelled to fire on the rioters, many of whom were killed.
The Governor and Mayor of the town have beeD removed. Lisbon, May 15. . It is stated that the King o Portugal is inclined to abdicate.

The Italian steamer Sbura, with 800 emigrants on board, came into collision with the Buccaneer in the bay and received some damage. Towards the end of April i woman named Brown was found murdered in the 3treets of New York, under circumstances which suggested that the crime had been committed by "Jack the Ripper," who committed the murders in Whitechapel, London, and a man known as "Frenehy" engaged as drover in connection with the shipping trade, was taken into justody on suspioion of being connected with the crime. The coroner's inquest on the victim concluded today, when the Jury brought in a verdict of murder against "Frenehy." Intelligence has reached here that the rebel gunboat Esmeralda is awaiting the Chilian steamer Itata at Acapulco, a port in Mexico, and that the United States cruiser Charleston is hourly expected to put in an appearance.

Skene and Simpson, and Mr Cossins, have been sentenced to be beheaded by the public executionor. AUSTRALIAN. Melboukxe, May 16. Sir George Grey has consented to address a large meeting, at the invita lion of the Trades Hall. The enquiry into the loss of the Craigburn has begun. The captain admitted that be hud taken some liquor going down the bay, but he insisted he was not drunk, but was perfectly capable of performing his duties. If the tug's hawser had been properly fastened the disaster would not have occurred.
