R.M. COURT.
CARTERTON-MONDAY. (Before Messrs W, .Booth and Jas. Bayliss, J.P.'s) Armond Bennett was charged, that he did, on Saturday, the 16th inst., refuse to leave the Marquis of Normanby Hotel, when requested to do so. J. L. Kimbell, sworn, deposed that the accused was intoxicated when he came to the hotel and used abusive and obscene language. When requested to desist he threatened to strike him and also threatened to strike the Constable who arrested him For being drunk a fine was inflicted of 103 or in default 7 days imprisonment, and for using obscene language 8 ..months' imprisonment; the sentences to run concurrently.
