'TOTICE is hereby given that elections to till vacancies in subdivision* 1 and 2 of the Masterton Road District, created by the retirement by ballot of Messrs DAG 6 and McbEOD, will be held on WEDNESDAY, the 6th day of May, 1891. Ratepayers are specially reminded that those whose names still remain on the Defaulters Lists after the rolls are finally made up in June will be disqualified from participating in any election which may occur during the tvelve months commencing on Ist] July, 1891. THEREAS by proclamation iu the New Zealand Gazette, dated Thursday, 23rd April, 1891, the Borough of Masterton is divided into three Wards, named respectively, "East Ward," " West Ward," and •« Outer Ward," and by such division the whole of the present Councillors go out of office, and an election of three Councillors for each of the said "Wards is to be held I therefore give public notice that I have appointed Thursday, the 14th day of May, 1891, to be the day for the election of Councillors to fill the extraordinary vacancies created, and I hereby appoint the following places and days for receiving the nominations of candidates, viz:— EAST WARD.
