There will be a full moon on the eyentful night, Friday week, so our country friends, weather permitting, will haye no excuse for their non-attendance.

A man named Joaeph Martin Burgess was arrested in Masterton yesterday on a oharge of lunacy, and on the medical certificates of Drs Beard and Johnston was committed to the Mount View Asylum. Burgess is a recent arrival from New South Wales. Some years ago he was working on Brancepeth station. He has developed symptoms of insanity since his arrival in Masterton. Having a mania for electricity he tried yesterday to electrify Mr Hogg, M.H.E., and His Honor District Judgo Robinson, but without avail.
