[By TaLEaBAT&I (Our Own Correspondent.) Grey-town, This Day. The first football match of the soa .son was played yesterdayafternoonao Greytown, between Iho Greytown Fir Brigade and the Pioneers (Wellington), The game resulted in a win for the local team by 2 points. Tries wero secured by McNaught, Quinn, Hoar (2) and Smith for the local men, and by Duncan, from which Courko placed a goal, for tho visitors. To-day. the Pioneers play the Carterton Pirates.
The Greytown Football Qlub has withdrawn both Us teams from the tournameat to be hold at Carterton on Monday.
